Best Dressed (3-5 Players)

Best Dressed is a game I designed in the span of ten weeks in a card game design class at UC Santa Cruz. I created the game based around the idea of turning dressing up into a game. 

The two big challenges when making this game were designing the 50+ cards with all the different clothes. This was challenging since I don't have any formal art training. 

The other challenge was combining a quantitative scoring system with the intrinsic fun of making outfits. I eventually settled on trying to corrupt players by having them get points by using sponsored clothing items, even if they don't match the prompt. Then having one player choose the outfit they like the most without knowing who submitted it. 

Game Overview and Goal

In Best Dressed 3-5 players are outfit planners for a model. You win by having made the most money by the end of 5 rounds.

Players make money by having their outfits chosen by the model, and encorporating items from their secret sponsor into the outfit.
